Temporal electric field of a helium plasma jet by electric field induced second harmonic (E-FISH) method

Xu LI et al.

Summary: Electric field, an important parameter of plasma, is diagnosed and investigated in an atmospheric pressure plasma jet through the E-FISH method. Different conditions lead to varied time-resolved electric field, with positive pulse voltage generating a peak of 25 kV cm(-1), and negative pulse voltage causing a peak of -16 kV cm(-1). The duration of the pulse and the addition of oxygen or nitrogen also affect the electric field.

Evolutions of repetitively pulsed positive streamer discharge in electronegative gas mixtures at high pressure

Zheng Zhao et al.

Summary: Electronegative gas components and gas pressure have significant effects on the dynamics of residual charges in pulse-periodic streamer discharge behaviors. The evolution of positive streamer discharge under repetitive pulses was investigated at high pressures for both weak (O-2) and strong (SF6) electronegative gas mixtures. The results showed differences in the inception and propagation of streamers between different gas mixtures, and the effects of electronegative gas were qualitatively analyzed.

Guided plasma jets directed onto wet surfaces: angular dependence and control

Guy Parsey et al.

Summary: The study focuses on controlling the flow of plasma-generated reactive species onto various surfaces using atmospheric pressure plasma jets (APPJs). Results indicate that changing the angle of the plasma tube can affect the production of reactive species and their transfer to thin water layers, highlighting the importance of angle control in plasma treatment.
