A new alpha-pyrone from Arthrinium pseudosinense culture medium and its estrogenic activity in MCF-7 cells

Haeun Kwon et al.

Summary: A new alpha-pyrone analog, arthrifuranone A, was isolated from Arthrinium pseudosinense culture medium using a dereplication strategy guided by Molecular Networking. The compound showed estrogenic activity by phosphorylating estrogen receptor-alpha and increasing the proliferation of MCF-7 cells.
