Discerning the multi-color fluorescence in donor-n-acceptor molecules by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy

Yonggang Yang et al.

Summary: Time-resolved femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy was used to study the multi-color fluorescence of two donor-n-acceptor (D-n-A) models. The study found that the delay in fluorescence emission increased in glycerin/DMSO mixed solutions, and the changes were attributed to the rotation of the electron acceptor axis.

Effective π-electron number and symmetry perturbation effect on the two-photon absorption of oligofluorenes

Luis M. G. Abegao et al.

Summary: The study revealed a high two-photon absorption cross-section in oligofluorenes, potentially due to a symmetry perturbation induced by an increase in aromatic rings in the molecular structure. Calculations of the permanent dipole moment difference and estimation of fundamental limits for the two-photon absorption cross-section confirmed this assumption.
