Emerging mechanisms of magnetocaloric effect in phase-separated metals

Summary: This study examines the magnetocaloric effect in metallic systems with first-order magnetic transitions, focusing on the consequences of magnetic phase separation. By using the Hubbard model within the mean-field approximation, the impact of field-induced entropy change in metallic systems with phase separation is explored. Analysis of the phase volumes' dependence on parameters of phase-separated system is conducted, revealing a natural splitting of the phase separation region based on magnetic field functions, leading to different temperature dependence of entropy change in subregions.
