Summary: In this study, bentonite clay/manganese ferrite nanocomposites were fabricated using a green, efficient, and scalable solid-state technique. The obtained nanocomposites exhibited a large surface area and enhanced magnetic domain, allowing for efficient adsorption and degradation of dye molecules as well as antimicrobial activity against various bacteria.

High resistance and giant permittivity study of Ni0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 spinel ferrite as a function of frequency and temperature

Summary: The present research work focuses on the study of resistance and permittivity of Ni0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 spinel ferrite compound in a wide temperature range. The equivalent electrical circuit of the sample is determined using impedance spectroscopy, revealing two relaxation times depending on frequency and temperature. The variation of ac conductivity and the giant resistance evolution are described and interpreted. The compound shows a high permittivity suitable for super capacitors and insulator layers in electronic devices.

Structural, dielectric, and electrical transport properties of Al3+ substituted nanocrystalline Ni-Cu spinel ferrites prepared through the sol-gel route

Summary: In this study, a series of nanocrystalline materials were synthesized using the sol-gel auto combustion technique, and the substitution effect of the Al3+ content on the structural, morphological, dielectric, and electrical properties of the nanoparticles was analyzed. The study found that the synthesized nanoparticles had a high crystalline nature and homogeneity. The contribution of grains and grain boundaries to the material properties was resolved, and the variation of AC resistivity with frequency was explained by the hopping mechanism.

Summary: The roles of cobalt and boron in an FeCoBSi soft magnetic composite were investigated, with cobalt inducing in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy and boron preventing crystallization of the magnetic amorphous phase. The addition of cobalt decreased coercivity, while a boron content of over 18 at% relative to FeCo was necessary for low coercivity and in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in the SMC.

Cobalt doping on nickel ferrite nanocrystals enhances the micro-structural and magnetic properties: Shows a correlation between them

Summary: PVP capped nickel ferrite nanocrystals (NFN) and cobalt doped nickel ferrite nanocrystals (CNFN) were successfully prepared using thermal heat treatment method, followed by sintering at 700 degrees C. The synthesized nanocrystals were analyzed through XRD, TEM and SEM to study their structural, morphological and magnetic properties. The study showed increase in saturation magnetization and coercivity values with Co doping in NFN, indicating potential applications in memory devices, magnetic recording media and adsorption of toxic materials in water.

Temperature-dependent magnetic behavior of Mn-Mg spinel ferrites with substituted Co, Ni & Zn, synthesized by hydrothermal method

Summary: Mn0.1Mg0.2(Co, Ni, Zn)(0.7)Fe2O4 compounds with particles sizes ranging between 11 nm and 17 nm were successfully synthesised by hydrothermal process. Subsequently, bulk samples with particle sizes ranging between 69 nm and 72 nm were produced by annealing at 1100 degrees C under argon gas. Magnetic measurements showed superparamagnetic behavior in the as-prepared samples, with Langevin function fittings at 300 K corresponding well with XRD analysis results.

Effect of cobalt doping on structural parameters, cation distribution and magnetic properties of nickel ferrite nanocrystals

Summary: Thermal heat treatment method was used to synthesize PVP-capped nickel ferrite and cobalt-doped nickel spinel ferrite nanocrystals, XRD analysis confirmed formation of pure FCC nanocrystals, HRTEM study indicated different sizes for NF and CNF, EDX analysis verified elements present in the samples, and structural parameters were calculated for both nickel and cobalt-doped nickel ferrite nanocrystals from XRD data analysis. Cation distribution showed significant change due to doping, FTIR analysis confirmed phase purity, and magnetic characterization showed improvement of magnetic parameters in CNF nanocrystals.

Structural and magnetic studies of nickel doped barium ferrite via Co-Precipitation method*

Summary: In this study, a new compound nickel doped barium ferrite (BaNixFe12-xO19) was synthesized through coprecipitation method with two different ratios (0.5% & 1%) to improve coercivity value and increase storage medium capability. The compound was prepared using sintering method at 950 degrees C for 6 h, exhibiting a hexagonal crystal structure according to XRD analysis. Magnetic properties were measured using a vibratory sample magnetometer, showing enhanced magnetic sustainable capacity.
