Quantum Control of Atom-Photon Entanglement via Structure Light in a Three-Level Medium

Ali Mehdinejad

Summary: This paper examines the quantum control of entanglement between an atomic system and its spontaneous emission through structured light. The authors consider a three-level medium as a quantum system that interacts with spatially based vortex light. It is found that the quantum entanglement depends on the intensity and orbital angular momentum (OAM) of the applied light. The impact of incoherent pumping rates and quantum interference on spatial quantum entanglement is also discussed. The authors highlight the critical role of the OAM number of the vortex light in the results.

Azimuthal modulation of electromagnetically induced grating using structured light

Seyyed Hossein Asadpour et al.

Summary: In this study, a theoretical scheme for creating a two-dimensional Electromagnetically Induced Grating in a three-level Lambda-type atomic system is proposed. Numerical calculations show that asymmetrical diffraction patterns can be observed due to the azimuthal modulation of the Laguerre-Gaussian field, allowing for control over the energy transfer of the probe field.

Swapping of orbital angular momentum states of light in a quantum well waveguide

Seyyed Hossein Asadpour et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the transfer of orbital angular momentum between optical fields in a semiconductor quantum well waveguide via four-wave mixing. We find that the efficiency of four-wave mixing is significantly enhanced by the spin coherence effect. Additionally, we demonstrate that the orbital angular momentum of a vortex control beam can be efficiently transferred to a generated probe field via spin coherence in the interaction of light and matter.

Exchange of optical vortices in symmetry-broken quantum systems

Seyyed Hossein Asadpour et al.

Summary: This study investigates the interaction of laser pulses carrying orbital angular momentum with a symmetry-broken ladder-type quantum coupling scheme involving three internal states. The results demonstrate efficient transfer of optical vortices to the generated signal beam and the transition between EIT and ATS conversion schemes by tuning the control field. The ATS regime is shown to be considerably more favorable than the EIT for achieving maximum energy conversion efficiency between light beams carrying the OAM.
