Adil Muala Dhumad et al.

Summary: The synthesis, structural characterization, and Density Functional Theory (DFT) studies of two azo-beta-diketones were conducted, along with investigations into their optical nonlinear properties and optical limiting behavior. The compounds showed high nonlinear refractive indexes and exhibited properties of an optical limiter with defined limiting threshold values. The origin of nonlinearity was determined to be thermal in nature, and a mechanism for the optical limiter effect observed in the samples was discussed.
