Chromatic confocal measurement method using a phase Fresnel zone plate

Tao Liu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a chromatic confocal measurement method based on a phase Fresnel zone plate. The axial dispersion curve of the zone plate is close to linear within a specific wavelength range determined by quantitative calculation using the vectorial angular spectrum theory. The method has the advantages of simplicity, reduced cost, and superior performance, making it suitable for various industries such as glass, coating, machinery, electronics, and optics.

Evaluation of mixed transition metal (Co, Mn, and Cu) oxide electrocatalysts anchored on different carbon supports for robust oxygen reduction reaction in neutral media

Dena Z. Khater et al.

Summary: In this study, mixed transition-metal oxides (MTMOs) were developed and tested as electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in neutral media. The results showed that MTMOs anchored on an activated carbon support exhibited higher ORR electrocatalytic activity compared to their counterparts anchored on a graphene support, making them a cost-effective alternative to expensive platinum in energy conversion and electrocatalysis.

High-Performance Ultra-Thin Spectrometer Optical Design Based on Coddington's Equations

Zhiwei Feng et al.

Summary: This paper presents a unique method to design a high-throughput and high-resolution ultrathin Czerny-Turner (UTCT) spectrometer based on Coddington's equations. By simulating the design, a spectral resolution of 0.4 nm at central wavelength and 0.75 nm at edge wavelength was achieved with a slit width of 25 μm and a groove density of 900 lines/mm.
