A Generalized Hermite-cosh-Gaussian (GHchG) beam, which is a general form of Hermite-cosh-Gaussian beams families, is introduced. The propagation formula of this beam through an ABCD optical system is derived and illustrated with numerical examples. The results show that the characteristics of the beam, such as the decentered parameter, the hollowness parameter, the Hermite order, and the fractional order, are strongly affected by its propagation in free space and Fractional Fourier transform (FRFT).
A Generalized Hermite-cosh-Gaussian (GHchG) beam is introduced as a general form of Hermite-cosh-Gaussian beams families. The propagation formula of this new optical vortex beam passing through an ABCD optical system is derived and illustrated with numerical examples. The results show that the decentered parameterw(0)omega , the hollowness parameter l, the Hermite order m and the fractional order p affect strongly the characteristics of the considered beam upon propagating in free space and Fractional Fourier transform (FRFT). The obtained results provide more general characteristic because the Hermite-cosh-Gaussian, Hermite-Gaussian, hollow higher-order cosh-Gaussian, higher-order cosh-Gaussian, cosh-Gaussian and Gaussian beams are obtained as special cases of GHchG beams.
