Invasive serogroup B meningococci in England following three years of 4CMenB vaccination - First real-world data

Jay Lucidarme et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the clonal complex, 4CMenB antigen genotyping, and vaccine coverage data for English invasive MenB isolates from 2014/15 to 2017/18. The study found that among vaccinated children, there were fewer cases associated with well-covered strains and antigens, while more cases were associated with poorly-covered strains and antigens. The results suggest that 4CMenB reduces disease caused by strains with cross-reactive antigen variants.
