Terahertz structured light: nonparaxial Airy imaging using silicon diffractive optics

Rusne IvaSkeviciute-Povilauskiene et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the generation of structured nonparaxial THz light using silicon diffractive optics prepared by femtosecond laser ablation technology. The accelerating nature of the structured light is shown through THz imaging of partially obscured objects. The study also introduces the use of lensless nonparaxial THz Airy beam for imaging system. The structured nonparaxial THz illumination consistently outperforms the conventional one in resolution and contrast.

All-graphene perfect broadband THz absorber

Marian Baah et al.

Summary: A novel technique involving 3D printing, electroplating, and chemical vapor deposition was used to fabricate a polymer nanomembrane covered with multilayered graphene, showing nearly perfect absorption in the THz frequency range. The theoretical explanation provided insights into the dark mode formation of the metasurface, enabling potential applications in various fields requiring graphene/polymer nanomembranes.

Dynamically tunable triple-band terahertz perfect absorber based on graphene metasurface

Jiang Gong et al.

Summary: A dynamically tunable triple-band terahertz perfect absorber based on monolayer graphene metasurface is proposed, showing near-unitary absorption at three different frequencies. The absorption bands can be actively tuned by varying the graphene chemical potential. This absorber is insensitive to incident angle and polarization, making it attractive for practical applications.
