Directional Carrier Polarity Tunability in Ambipolar Organic Transistors Based on Diketopyrrolopyrrole and Bithiophene Imide Dual-Acceptor Semiconducting Polymers

Qian Liu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the directional tunability of carrier polarity in organic ambipolar transistors using DPP- and BTI-based dual-acceptor polymers. By modifying the molecular structure and adding specific ionic additives, the polarity of charge carriers can be selectively tuned, enabling the transition from ambipolar to unipolar transport in organic field-effect transistors. This finding is highly significant for the development of complementary circuits.

Modulation of Microstructure and Charge Transport in Polymer Monolayer Transistors by Solution Aging

Xuemei Lin et al.

Summary: This study fabricated polymer monolayers with different molecular weights using dip-coating technique, observing a disorder-to-order transition of polymer conformation during monolayer formation. Higher molecular weight polymer monolayers were found to have higher crystalline microstructure due to stronger pi-pi intermolecular packing. Additionally, solution aging procedure significantly improved the morphology of polymer monolayers, leading to enhanced field-effect mobilities.
