Photonic Encryption Platform via Dual-Band Vectorial Metaholograms in the Ultraviolet and Visible

Joohoon Kim et al.

Summary: This research proposes a dual-band vectorial metahologram for optical encryption in the visible and ultraviolet (UV) regimes. By encoding nine holographic images for different polarization states using a pixelated metasurface, independent holograms can be observed under UV laser and visible laser illumination. This dual-band vectorial hologram device has the potential to be applied in various high-security and anticounterfeiting applications.

Novel Spin-Decoupling Strategy in Liquid Crystal-Integrated Metasurfaces for Interactive Metadisplays

Muhammad Ashar Naveed et al.

Summary: This study presents a simple asymmetric spin-orbit interaction (SOI)-based technique for multifunctional metaoptics. It uses a single unit cell and relies on geometric phase, reducing fabrication challenges and computational costs. A new low-cost material is used to optimize the transmission efficiency. The integrated system, which includes off-axis holographic metasurfaces and pressure-sensitive liquid crystal cells, allows for actively tunable metaholography without limitations on center symmetric information encoding. The design, fabrication, and interactive capabilities make this setup a potential candidate for various applications.

Single-Step Fabricable Flexible Metadisplays for Sensitive Chemical/Biomedical Packaging Security and Beyond

Muhammad Ashar Naveed et al.

Summary: In this study, we propose a broad-band polarization-insensitive flexible metasurface for secure packaging and transportation of sensitive test tubes. The high-index TiO2 nanoparticle-embedded-resin structures are fabricated using UV nanoimprint lithography, enabling rapid fabrication and replication of the flexible metasurface. The results demonstrate high transmission efficiency of the metasurface in the visible domain, making it suitable for applications in bendable displays, wearable devices, and holographic labeling.

Broad-Band Polarization-Insensitive Metasurface Holography with a Single-Phase Map

Isma Javed et al.

Summary: This study proposes a design strategy using geometric phase to break the conventional trade-off between polarization and bandwidth. The strategy enables broad-band polarization-insensitivity through a simplified design process. By adjusting the phase delay freedom of geometric phase engineering under different polarization conditions, the same output wavefront manipulation is achieved.

Broadband Chiro-Optical Effects for Futuristic Meta-Holographic Displays

Hafiz Saad Khaliq et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a planar all-dielectric metasurface with broadband chiro-optical effects, and successfully achieves the simultaneous conversion of amplitude, polarization, and phase. The underlying mechanism behind induced chiro-optical effects is investigated through the study of higher-order multipolar dielectric resonances. Experimental validation of the metasurface's functionality at broadband visible wavelengths is also performed, providing new solutions for bioimaging, healthcare, and smart security applications.

Highly Efficient Perfect Vortex Beams Generation Based on All-Dielectric Metasurface for Ultraviolet Light

Muhammad Danial Shafqat et al.

Summary: This study investigates the wavefront manipulation capability of all-dielectric metasurfaces using silicon nitride as a suitable material for the UV spectrum. By combining multiple phase distributions into a single device, perfect vortex beam generation is achieved. The results show that diffracted light from metasurfaces with different topological charges results in an annular intensity profile with the same ring radius.

Single-Cell-Driven Tri-Channel Encryption Meta-Displays

Muhammad Qasim Mehmood et al.

Summary: Multi-functional metasurfaces have attracted significant attention in the field of highly integrated and compact meta-devices. This study proposes a tri-functional metasurface based on a single meta-nanoresonator, combining spin-decoupling and intensity modulation to improve information capacity. The proposed design strategy achieves high transmission efficiency in the visible regime and does not add complexity to conventional nano-pillar geometry.

Multifunctional metasurfaces enabled by simultaneous and independent control of phase and amplitude for orthogonal polarization states

Mingze Liu et al.

Summary: Monochromatic light has three fundamental properties: amplitude, phase, and polarization. A versatile transmission-mode all-dielectric metasurface platform is proposed in this work, capable of independently manipulating the phase and amplitude for two orthogonal states of polarization in the visible frequency range, enabling various light-field manipulation capabilities. This technology opens new possibilities in polarization optics, information encoding, and optical data storage.
