β-1,4-Galactosyltransferase-V colorectal cancer biomarker immunosensor with label-free electrochemical detection

Danilo Echeverri et al.

Summary: This study reports an electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of the novel beta-1,4-GalT-V CRC biomarker. The immunosensor covalently couples an anti-beta-1,4-GalT-V antibody on a self-assembled monolayer-coated gold electrode surface and shows high specificity in capturing the beta-1,4-GalT-V glycoprotein from human serum samples. The response of the immunosensor, monitored by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, is protein concentration-dependent.

Ultrasensitive signal-on sandwich electrochemiluminescence immunosensor based on Pd@Au-L-cysteine enabled multiple-amplification strategy for Apolipoprotein-A1 detection

Jilan Qi et al.

Summary: This study proposes an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) strategy for detecting the common tumor biomarker Apolipoprotein-A1 (Apo-A1) in bladder cancer. The ECL nanoprobe Ru-MOF, constructed using three-dimensional zinc oxalate metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and tris(2,2 '-bipyridyl)-ruthenium(II) [Ru(bpy)32+] as the luminophor, is used to detect Apo-A1. Additionally, L-cysteine (L-Cys) is connected to the Pd@Au core-shell nanostructure via Au-S bond and directly modified on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE), reducing the electron transfer distance. The proposed ECL immunosensor shows advantages in terms of simplicity, speed, stability, and selectivity, and has been successfully applied for Apo-A1 determination in real serum and urine samples.

Summary: The study investigates the adsorption of charged proteins on the surface of Polyaniline nanotubes (PN) and its impact on electrostatic interactions. The surface charge and zeta potential of PN, as well as the adsorption of 1 NLB antibodies on PN, were determined experimentally. These results were utilized to fabricate an impedimetric immunosensor for detecting HCV core antigen.
