Extension in generalized Orlicz-Sobolev spaces

Jonne Juusti

Summary: This article studies the existence of an extension operator Lambda: W1,phi(S2) -> W1,psi(Rn). It assumes that cp in Phi w(S2) exhibits generalized Orlicz growth, 0 in Phi w(Rn) is an extension of cp, and S2 is an (e, 5)-domain. Special cases include the classical constant exponent case, the Orlicz case, the variable exponent case, and the double phase case.

On the continuity of solutions of quasilinear parabolic equations with generalized Orlicz growth under non-logarithmic conditions

Igor I. Skrypnik et al.

Summary: In this paper, we prove the continuity of bounded solutions for a wide class of parabolic equations with (p, q)-growth. Our results cover new cases of double phase and degenerate double-phase parabolic equations.

Infinitely many solutions for double phase problem with unbounded potential in RN

Robert Steglinski

Summary: The paper discusses a double phase problem in R-N space, provides a new functional setting, and proves the existence of infinitely many solutions using the Fountain and Dual Fountain Theorem. The results extend recent work in the field.

Irregular obstacle problems for Orlicz double phase

Sumiya Baasandorj et al.

Summary: In this study, an irregular obstacle problem with a non-uniformly elliptic operator in divergence form of (G, H)-growth is explored. Local Calderon-Zygmund type estimates for an Orlicz double phase problem are provided by proving integrability of the gradient of a solution under sharp conditions on the nonlinearity.

Double phase image restoration

Petteri Harjulehto et al.

Summary: This paper explores the potential of the double phase functional in image processing by studying minimizers of the energy for functions with bounded variation. It shows that this energy can be obtained through gamma-convergence or relaxation of regularized functionals, using a capped fractional maximal function as a central tool.

Removable sets in elliptic equations with Musielak-Orlicz growth

Iwona Chlebicka et al.

Summary: In this study, the size of removable sets for Holder continuous solutions to elliptic equations with Musielak-Orlicz growth is characterized using intrinsic Hausdorff measures. A new scale result is provided in the general case, which is more relevant and captures classical results as special cases. These results slightly refine known results for problems in variable exponent and double phase spaces, and significantly improve the Orlicz case.

The weak Harnack inequality for unbounded supersolutions of equations with generalized Orlicz growth

Allami Benyaiche et al.

Summary: This study focuses on unbounded weak supersolutions of elliptic partial differential equations with generalized Orlicz growth, demonstrating their satisfaction of weak Harnack inequality with optimal exponent in suitable Lebesgue or Sobolev space, and establishing the sharpness of central assumptions.

Lipschitz Bounds and Nonautonomous Integrals

Cristiana De Filippis et al.

Summary: The study presents a general approach to Lipschitz regularity of solutions for a large class of vector-valued, nonautonomous variational problems exhibiting nonuniform ellipticity, ranging from unbalanced polynomial growth conditions to fast, exponential growth. The sharp results obtained are optimal with respect to all considered data, and also provide new regularity criteria in the classical uniformly elliptic case. Furthermore, a classification of different types of nonuniform ellipticity is given, along with suitable conditions to obtain regularity theorems.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to establish Trudinger's inequality on Musielak-Orlicz-Morrey spaces under weaker conditions than those considered previously. As an application, Trudinger's inequality is demonstrated for double phase functionals with certain conditions.
