Highly uniform nano-/micro-rods with a hexagonal shape of Fe-based MOFs (Mill-88-hmta) were synthesized using a solvothermal method and mixed-linker approach. The resulting Mill-88-hmta MOFs exhibit excellent performance in the ring-opening reaction of epoxides with alcohols, showing promise for other ring-opening reactions.
Highly uniform nano-/micro-rods with a hexagonal shape of Fe-based MOFs (named as Mill-88-hmta) has been synthesized by using mixed-linker method towards the reaction between organic linkers (fumaric acid and hexamethylenetetramine) and Fe(NO3)3 via a solvothermal method. The as-prepared Mill-88-hmta MOFs exhibits excellent performance for ring-opening of epoxides with alcohols, which could be a promising candidate for other ring-opening reactions.
