Synthesis and characterization of Nb-doped strontium cobaltite@GQD electrodes for high performance supercapacitors

Poonam R. Kharangarh et al.

Summary: This study reports the fabrication and characterization of Nb-doped strontium cobaltite as a charge storage material. The material was prepared using the sol-gel method and showed a significant concentration of oxygen vacancies. The perovskite material, niobium doped strontium cobalitite, was prepared on nano graphene sheets and exhibited high energy density as an electrode material. The study also investigated the electro-chemical properties of the material and found that it had a higher specific capacitance compared to other materials due to improved conductivity, presence of oxygen vacancies, and fast ion diffusion.

Nanocomposite powders of hydroxyapatite-graphene oxide for biological applications

Camila C. Lopes et al.

Summary: In this study, hydroxyapatite-graphene oxide (HA-GO) nanocomposites were produced and the influences of different concentrations of GO on their morphological and physicochemical properties were observed. The results indicated that HA-GO nanocomposites exhibited good bioactivity properties and showed a high level of cell viability when the concentration of GO was increased. These findings suggest that HA-GO nanocomposites have potential as bioactive bone grafts and promising biomaterials for bone tissue regeneration, especially at higher concentrations of GO.
