Evolution analysis of γ' precipitate coarsening in Co-based superalloys using kinetic theory and machine learning

Pei Liu et al.

Summary: This study uses machine learning models to identify materials descriptors describing the coarsening of gamma' precipitates in Cobased superalloys. The researchers found that the Young's modulus difference dominates the coarsening mechanism and alloys with additional elements having larger Young's modulus tend to have smaller gamma' precipitates.
