Modeling the solubility of carbon dioxide in the MDEA plus AEEA aqueous solution using the SAFT-HR equation of state and extended UNIQUAC model

Azam Najafloo et al.

Summary: In this study, a thermodynamic model was used to determine the solubility of carbon dioxide in an aqueous solution of methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) and aminoethylethanolamine (AEEA). The model considered physical and chemical equilibriums between the liquid and vapor phases, and used the SAFT-HR equation of state to calculate the fugacity coefficients of the components in the vapor phase. The solubility of carbon dioxide was predicted using the optimized parameters of the model in a temperature range of 308.2-368.2 K.

Modeling the Solubility of Carbon Dioxide and 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane in Ionic Liquids Using the van der Waals and Generic Redlich-Kwong Equations of State

Amirhossein Saali et al.

Summary: This study examined the modeling of gas solubility in twenty room temperature ionic liquids based on the van der Waals and generic Redlich-Kwong equations of state, and compared the obtained deviations. The absolute average deviation is less than 1% for each system, indicating the high accuracy and efficiency of the equations of state. Experiment data correlated well with the equations.
