Tensorial Multi-View Clustering via Low-Rank Constrained High-Order Graph Learning

Guangqi Jiang et al.

Summary: Multi-view clustering aims to divide multi-view data into different categories by utilizing the consistency and complementary information from multiple sources. However, existing algorithms heavily rely on similarity graphs from individual views and fail to fully understand multiple views. We propose a new method called Tensorial Multi-view Clustering (TMvC), which uses low-rank tensor constraint to learn high-order graphs and uncover the essential information stored in multiple views. Experimental results demonstrate that TMvC achieves state-of-the-art performance in multi-view clustering.

Semi-supervised multi-view binary learning for large-scale image clustering

Mingyang Liu et al.

Summary: Large-scale image clustering has been a focus of research in machine learning. Traditional methods based on real value representation have issues with data storage and calculation. Recent methods based on binary representation and multi-view learning have been introduced to address these issues, but improving clustering performance remains a challenge. This study proposes a new method called Semi-supervised Multi-view Binary Learning (SMBL) that utilizes label information to improve the design of the similarity matrix. Experimental results using four benchmark datasets demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method.

Uniform Distribution Non-Negative Matrix Factorization for Multiview Clustering

Zuyuan Yang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a tri-factorization-based NMF model with an embedding matrix to generate decompositions with uniform distribution in the learned subspace, making the learned representations more discriminative and leading to higher clustering performance. Additionally, a new lemma is introduced to provide formulas about the partial derivation of the trace function with respect to an inner matrix, along with its theoretical proof, to develop a gradient-based algorithm for solving the proposed model and analyze its convergence and computational complexity. Experiments on six real-world datasets demonstrate the advantages of the proposed algorithm compared to existing baseline methods.

Summary: The proposed Deep Multi-view Subspace Clustering with Unified and Discriminative Learning (DMSC-UDL) combines global and local structures with self-expression layer to achieve better clustering performance. By introducing a discriminative constraint between different views, DMSC-UDL enables samples in different clusters of different views to have smaller weights, leading to a more accurate shared connection matrix for multi-view clustering.
