High-performance self-doped V4+-V2O5 ion storage films grown in situ using a novel hydrothermal-assisted sol-gel composite method

Hongying Liu et al.

Summary: This study presents the preparation of self-doped V4+-V2O5 ion storage nanofilm on ITO-coating glass substrate using a novel hydrothermal-assisted sol-gel composite method. It is found that introducing oxygen vacancies during the hydrothermal process significantly improves the storage capacity and Li+ diffusion in the V2O5 film, while annealing treatment at 300°C results in the highest ion storage performance. The excellent cycling stability and performance of the 300°C-V2O5 film make it promising for applications in electrochromic devices.

Efficient Removal Technology of Ammonia Nitrogen by Membrane Separation

Peng Li et al.

Summary: The working principle, process flow, treatment effect, and application scope of ammonia nitrogen removal by membrane separation were investigated. The effects of initial ammonia nitrogen concentration, pH value, and flow rate of raw water on mass transfer coefficient and removal rate of ammonia nitrogen in the membrane separation process were evaluated, and the optimal operating conditions of membrane separation were assessed. In addition, several kinds of representative wastewaters were treated. Under the optimal operating conditions, the ammonia nitrogen removal rate can reach more than 99 % and the specific surface area can be up to 3000 m(2)m(-3).

Zichen Liu et al.

Summary: By developing a novel ammonia oxidation reactor with hierarchical porous-structured Ni foam electrodes, high-efficiency three-electron-transfer ammonia conversion was achieved, with approximately 70% ammonia removal efficiency and around 4% byproduct production, significantly superior to conventional ammonia oxidation configurations. After 20 days of continuous operation, the reactor achieved over 90% ammonia degradation performance with an energy consumption of 25.42 kW h kg(-1) N.
