This study determined and distributed Pb-210 in plants using Liquid Scintillation Counting. The method was improved by optimizing the pulse shape analysis setup, constructing quenched correction curves, and considering the counting from both Pb-210 and its progeny Bi-210. The method was applied to test Pb-210 determination in samples of three species collected from two sites around a uranium mining facility.
This study presented the determination and distribution of Pb-210 in plants using Liquid Scintillation Counting. The analysis method of Pb-210 in plants has been improved by optimizing the pulse shape analysis setup, constructing quenched correction curves, as well as consideration of the counting from both Pb-210 and its progeny Bi-210. This method was used to test for the determination of Pb-210 in samples of three species collected from two sites around a uranium mining facility.
