Tailored alkyl-imidazolium templating synthesis of extra-large-pore germanosilicate zeolite ITT as Baeyer-Villiger oxidation catalyst

Xiaozhe Hou et al.

Summary: Extra-large-pore zeolite ITT was synthesized using alkyl-substituted imidazolium templates. The structure of the zeolite, as well as its catalytic performance, was found to be influenced by the alkyl chain length and substitution number of the template. ITT exhibited better catalytic activity and selectivity compared to BEC, with the presence of 18-ring channels facilitating the diffusion of substrate and product molecules.
