Ultrafast and stable ion/electron transport of MnNb2O6 in LIC/SC via interface protection and lattice defects

Yue Lian et al.

Summary: In this study, ultrathin amorphous carbon shells and lattice defects are introduced to improve the electron/ion kinetic stability and electrochemical activity of bimetallic oxides. The ultrathin carbon interface protects unstable lattice with defects and enhances the stability and uniformity of ion transport.

Insights into the conduction mechanism of magneto-dielectric BaFe10.5In1.5O19: an impedance spectroscopy and AC conductivity study

Surbhi Gupta et al.

Summary: Impedance spectroscopy and ac conductivity analysis were used to investigate the conduction mechanism in indium-doped M-type barium hexaferrite as a function of temperature. The temperature dependence of dielectric relaxation was revealed by impedance spectra. The contributions of grain and grain boundaries to dielectric properties were deconvoluted using an equivalent electrical circuit. The ac conductivity followed Jonscher's power law and the temperature-dependent behavior of the critical exponent indicated the presence of overlapping large polaron tunneling as the underlying conduction mechanism.

Thermal and electrical characterization of poly(vinyl)alcohol)/poly (vinylidene fluoride) blends reinforced with nano-graphene platelets

Summary: The study focuses on the piezoelectric properties of nano-graphene/polymer composites and the influence of heterogeneity, thermal properties, phase transitions, and kinetic processes in the polymer matrix on macroscopic electrical conductivity and interfacial polarization. Broadband Dielectric spectroscopy is used to analyze electron transport and trapping, with effects of the harmonic electric field on the volume modifications of electro-active PVdF grains observed. Additionally, the electro-activity of PVdF grains is found to have weak dependencies on dc conductivity and dielectric relaxation.

Dynamical response of localized electron hopping and dipole relaxation in Cu1-x Zn x Fe2O4 magnetoceramics

S. K. Jena et al.

Summary: This study presents a detailed investigation on the dynamical response of electron hopping and dipole relaxation in Zn diluted Cuprospinel polycrystals, revealing various polarization mechanisms and relaxation phenomena. The analysis of dielectric dispersion and ac-resistivity provides evidence of charge transport behaviors at different temperatures, while electric modulus spectroscopic studies reveal two types of relaxation phenomena. The study also suggests the potential for designing low energy-loss and high-resistive electromagnetic elements for microwave devices based on the compositional dependent tunability of the parameters discussed.

Summary: This study presents the magnetic field-temperature phase diagram, exchange constants, and magnetic ground state of antiferromagnetic MnNb2O6 polycrystals. Experimental data agrees with theoretical analysis, providing values for the Neel temperature, critical exponent, magnetic moment, and exchange constants. The study also maps out the H-T phase diagram and estimates the anisotropy energy of the material.

Magnetic ground state and exchange interactions in the Ising chain ferromagnet CoNb2O6

Summary: Measurements and analysis of the magnetization versus temperature in a polycrystalline sample of Ising chain ferromagnet CoNb2O6 reveal a ground state with effective spin S = 1/2, contrary to the expected S = 3/2 from Hund's rules. The fit of the data indicates the presence of noncubic crystalline field and spin-orbit coupling effects.
