Understanding the coexistence of two bipolar resistive switching modes with opposite polarity in CuxO (1 ≤ x ≤ 2)-based two-terminal devices

N. S. Sterin et al.

Summary: In this work, the resistive switching behavior of non-volatile nature in two different device architectures was fabricated and tested. One device showed coexistence of two bipolar resistive switching modes, while the other device only exhibited regular bipolar switching. The formation and annihilation of metallic Cu nanofilaments were identified as the reason behind the observed resistive switching events. These findings suggest that CuxO-based cells have the potential to be cost-effective and widely available non-volatile resistive memories.

Physical Model for the Current-Voltage Hysteresis and Impedance of Halide Perovskite Memristors

Mariana Berruet et al.

Summary: An investigation on the kinetic behavior of MAPbI(3) memristors reveals that the onset voltage to a high conducting state is strongly dependent on the voltage sweep rate, and the impedance spectra exhibit complex capacitive and inductive patterns. By developing a dynamic model, insights into the coupling of ionic and electronic properties that give rise to the resistive switching behavior are obtained. The model effectively distinguishes between diffusion and transition-state-formation steps and describes well the experimental current-voltage curves at different scan rates and impedance spectra.

Multifunctional Bipolar and Complementary Resistive Switching in HOIP Memristors by the Control of Compliance Current

Himangshu Jyoti Gogoi et al.

Summary: A hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite (HOIP)-based memristor is proposed in this study, showing two types of bipolar resistive switching (BRS). By adjusting the polarity of the operating field and compliance current, the memristor can exhibit I-V characteristics similar to complementary resistive switching behavior, which could be useful in reducing the sneak current issue in resistive random-access memory.

Impact of Hydroiodic Acid on Resistive Switching Performance of Lead-Free Cs3Cu2I5 Perovskite Memory

Fanju Zeng et al.

Summary: Lead-free Cs3Cu2I5 perovskite films were used to construct memory devices with the performance being systematically studied by adding different amounts of hydroiodic acid (HI). Adding an appropriate amount of HI improved the crystallinity and morphology of Cs3Cu2I5 films, leading to enhanced resistive switching performance. This study provides a scientific strategy for improving the resistive switching performance of iodine halide perovskite-based memories.
