Influence of N-introduction in pentacene on the electronic structure and excited electronic states

Marvin Hoffmann et al.

Summary: This study investigated the structural and electronic properties of N-heteropolycyclic aromatic compounds adsorbed on a gold surface using vibrational and electronic spectroscopy. The results showed that these compounds adsorb in a planar geometry and the introduction of nitrogen atoms significantly enhances the intensity of the alpha-band in the UV/vis absorption spectrum.

Modular Nitrogen-Doped Concave Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons for High-Performance Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with Tunable Emission Mechanisms

Jakub Wagner et al.

Summary: In this study, the synthesis and characterization of curved and fully conjugated nitrogen-doped PAHs were reported. By modifying the structure of the electron-accepting moiety, the luminescence mechanism was switched between TADF and RTP, and the overall PLQY was tuned in the range of 9% to 86%. Solid-state OLED devices were constructed, achieving a high external quantum efficiency.

Influence of Core Halogenation on the Electronic Structure of Naphthothiadiazole Derivatives

Mohsen Ajdari et al.

Summary: The study focused on the structural and electronic properties of naphthothiadiazole (NTD) derivatives adsorbed on Au(111) in monolayer and thin films, revealing that in the monolayer and multilayer coverage regime, the NTD derivatives adsorbed in a planar fashion with the optical gap reduced due to halogenation.
