Summary: In this study, a choline-based ionic liquid, cholinium ethanoate, was synthesized and the thermophysical parameters of glycine and L-alanine in the synthesized ionic liquid were calculated. The effects of temperature and alkyl chain length on the measured parameters were discussed, and the results were validated using FT-IR spectroscopy.

Physicochemical Study of Solvation Behavior of n-Butylammonium Perchlorate in Binary Mixtures of Acetonitrile and Dimethylsulfoxide at Various Temperatures

Summary: The present study focuses on the physico-chemical characterization of the solutions of n-butylammonium perchlorate in acetonitrile-dimethylsulfoxide binary mixtures. Conductive and viscometric approaches were used to analyze molecular interactions and transport properties, revealing the existence of ion-ion and ion-solvent interactions in the investigated system. Results show preferential solvation of butylammonium ions by DMSO in the AN rich region and by AN in the DMSO rich region of the solvent mixtures at all temperatures studied.
