δM plots of nanocrystalline hard magnetic alloys

Summary: This study investigates the influence of various factors on the ΔM(H) plots of high-anisotropy nanocrystalline alloys. Systematic analysis of changes in the ΔM(H) plots caused by intergrain exchange and magnetostatic interactions, grain size dispersion, and demagnetization factor show the importance of considering all these factors for a reliable evaluation of exchange coupling in alloys. The concept of this analysis is presented and applied to a rapidly quenched Nd-FeCo-B alloy.
