Hybrid nanofluid flow towards an elastic surface with tantalum and nickel nanoparticles, under the influence of an induced magnetic field

Lijun Zhang et al.

Summary: The physical behavior of a nanofluid composed of kerosene and tantalum and nickel nanoparticles propagating through a porous, elastic surface was studied. Results show that the flow propagates faster for higher values of Darcy number and Tantalum nanoparticles, with the magnetic field opposing the fluid motion. The presence of Tantalum and Nickel nanoparticles also leads to a decrease in the thermal boundary layer.

M. M. Bhatti et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the thermal flow problem in microchannels and proposes a mathematical model. The model is validated using numerical methods. The study finds that an increase in the thermal Grashof number and electric field parameter enhances the velocity, the Brinkman number and magnetic interaction number increase the temperature, and the Nusselt number is elevated with several parameters.

Experimental study of the effect of sheet-and-sinusoidal tube collector on the energetic and exergetic performance of a photovoltaic-thermal unit filled with biologically synthesized water/glycerol-silver nanofluid

Kambiz Varmira et al.

Summary: This experimental work focuses on evaluating the energetic and exergetic performance of a photovoltaic-thermal unit equipped with a sheet-and-sinusoidal tube collector (PVTW), comparing it with a photovoltaic-thermal unit with a sheet-and-plain tube collector (PVTP) and a PV panel without cooling. Results show that the overall energy and exergy efficiencies of the PVTW unit are higher than those of the PVTP unit, with better performance at higher mass flow rates and nanoadditive concentrations.

Dual solutions for Casson hybrid nanofluid flow due to a stretching/shrinking sheet: A new combination of theoretical and experimental models

Seyed Mahdi Mousavi et al.

Summary: This study investigates the two-dimensional MHD Casson flow past a linearly stretching/shrinking sheet with suction, radiation, and convective boundary condition effects by employing experimental relations to approximate the effective thermophysical properties of a water/MgO-Ag hybrid nanofluid. It also considers dual solutions and stability analysis, demonstrating the importance of selective experimental relations in future numerical modeling of hybrid nanofluids. Results show an enhancement of the Casson fluid parameter range with increasing radiation parameter, suction parameter, and second nanoparticle mass, as well as the acceleration of similarity velocity profiles in the hydrodynamic boundary layer due to a magnetic field applied normal to the sheet.

Thermal convection in a cubical region saturated with a temperature-dependent viscosity fluid under the non-uniform temperature profile at vertical wall

Marina S. Astanina et al.

Summary: Convective heat transfer is a major phenomenon in different technical and natural systems, especially in enclosures under different temperature distributions at bounded walls. This research addresses the thermogravitation energy transport of a non-constant viscosity medium inside a 3D region with non-uniform or uniform temperature profile at one vertical wall, studying the impacts of Rayleigh number and viscosity changeable magnitude on the energy transference and flow structures. The control equations with border restrictions are reduced into a non-dimensional form and integrated by finite difference procedures.
