M-point Combinatory for Parallel Transmission Image Sensor-based Visible Light Communications

Takumi Sato et al.

Summary: An M-point combinatory modulation is proposed for parallel transmission image sensor-based visible light communication (VLC) in this paper. By selecting a certain number of transmitting regions and using the corresponding modulation method, the proposed method can achieve a higher bit transmission rate, improving the overall efficiency of the transmission system.

Luminance Inversion for Parallel Transmission Visible Light Communication Between LCD and Image Sensor Camera

Kotomi Takahashi et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a new method called Luminance Inversion (LI) to compensate for the nonlinear characteristics between a liquid crystal display and an image sensor. By calculating the complement of the digital data fed to the driver of the pixel and transmitting the data and its luminance complement in two successive frames, the signal in the PT system can be linearized. Experimental results show that the PT system with LI can accommodate a larger number of bits without errors compared to the system without LI, indicating improved transmission accuracy.
