Numerical reproduction of the seasonal variation in dissolved uranium in Lake Biwa

Summary: The numerical reproduction of dissolved U concentrations in column experiments using a simple ion exchange and immobile domain model was successful in this study. Optimization of parameters allowed for accurate simulation and explanation of fluctuations in dissolved U concentration under various conditions. The ion exchange immobile domain model has become a standard process in geochemical programs like Phreeqc.
