Terahertz waves dynamic diffusion in 3D printed structures

The spectral and dynamic response of the structures are studied using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The results show that the structures have specific spectral forbidden bands dependent on their optical and geometrical parameters and evidence of disorder in the 3D printed structure. The diffusion coefficient of terahertz radiation in the structures is estimated by studying the dynamics diffusion of the pulses.

Enhanced terahertz shielding by adding rare Ag nanoparticles to Ti3C2T x MXene fiber membranes

Summary: Polyacrylonitrile/Ti3C2T (x) MXene/silver nanoparticles fiber membranes with different silver nanoparticles content and thickness of porous structure were successfully prepared via electrospinning. The fiber membrane with 1% silver nanoparticles content demonstrated a shielding effect of up to 12 dB in the terahertz band. The combination of MXene with few-layers and silver nanoparticles enhanced the absorption and conductivity of the fiber membrane, contributing to the improved shielding effect. The prepared fiber membranes also showed good stability and minimal change in terahertz shielding effect after high temperature annealing, presenting potential for the development of high-performance terahertz shielding materials.
