Reheating in models with non-minimal coupling in metric and Palatini formalisms

Dhong Yeon Cheong et al.

Summary: We study the reheating of inflationary models with general non-minimal coupling and provide general analytic expressions for cosmological observables. By considering a wide range of nonminimal coupling and different formalisms, we derive predictions for cosmological observables and the reheating temperature with respect to a general equation of state parameter.

Multi-chaotic inflation with and without spectator field

Yukiyoshi Morishita et al.

Summary: Motivated by recent results, this study investigates the consistency of multi-field inflation models in terms of the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio. It finds that double-inflaton models with a specific mass spectrum can be viable, and discusses conditions to avoid fine-tuning.

Double inflation via non-minimally coupled spectator

Mio Kubota et al.

Summary: Double inflation can occur when a spectator field is non-minimally coupled to gravity. The non-minimal coupling results in the growth of the spectator field, which drives the second stage of inflation in a significant region of parameter space. The non-minimal coupling of the spectator field can modify the predictions for the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio.

Relaxing inflation models with nonminimal coupling: A general study

Tatsuki Kodama et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the predictions of inflation models with a nonminimal coupling to gravity for inflationary observables such as the spectral index and tensor-to-scalar ratio in a general setting. Depending on the relation between the Jordan frame potential and a function characterizing the nonminimal coupling, the models can be classified into three categories, each giving distinctive predictions for the inflationary observables. We derive general predictions for each class and investigate some specific models to understand the underlying features.

BICEP/Keck and cosmological attractors

Renata Kallosh et al.

Summary: This study discusses the implications of the latest BICEP/Keck data release for inflationary models, focusing on cosmological attractors that can describe all available inflation-related observational data. These models are compatible with any value of the tensor to scalar ratio r, and some string theory motivated models predict 10^(-3) <= r <= 10^(-2). The upper part of this range can be explored by ongoing BICEP/Keck observations.

Improved Constraints on Primordial Gravitational Waves using Planck, WMAP, and BICEP/Keck Observations through the 2018 Observing Season

P. A. R. Ade et al.

Summary: This study presents the analysis of data from the BICEP2, Keck Array, and BICEP3 CMB polarization experiments up to 2018, with additional observations added. By comparing with WMAP and Planck maps, the study provides strong constraints on primordial gravitational waves.
