We demonstrate that the linear perturbations of any spin field in the near-zone limit of the Kerr black hole are equivalent to those of an AdS2 black hole with similar properties. Based on this correspondence, we use the AdS2/CFT1 correspondence and a group theoretical approach to calculate the spectrum of quasinormal modes and Love numbers for Kerr black holes.
We show that the linear perturbations of any spin field in the near-zone limit of the Kerr black hole are identical to those of an AdS2 black hole which enjoys the same basic properties of the Kerr black hole. Thanks to this identification, we calculate the spectrum of the quasinormal modes and the Love numbers of Kerr black holes using an AdS2/CFT1 correspondence and a group theoretical approach.
