A regenerable N-rich hierarchical porous carbon synthesized from waste biomass for H2S removal at room temperature

Nitrogen/sulfur codoped FCC-slurry-based porous carbon materials in symmetric supercapacitors

Summary: In this study, N/S-doped carbon material was prepared using FCC slurry, concentrated sulfuric acid, and urea, resulting in a micro/mesoporous carbon material with high specific surface area and good electrochemical performance. Carbonization at 700 degrees C achieved an optimal balance between specific surface area and heteroatom doping content. The carbon electrode showed a specific capacitance of 326F g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 and a specific capacitance retention rate of 131.4% after 20,000 charge and discharge cycles at a current density of 50 A g-1. The symmetrical supercapacitor assembled with a 6 M KOH solution had an energy density of 15.7 Wh kg-1 at 325 W kg-1.
