However, research on circular entrepreneurship is still in its early stages and scattered. This study aims to bring entrepreneurship into discussions on the circular economy through a systematic literature review. Based on 102 articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, four thematic groups were identified, with a focus on growing circular SMEs and a concentration of research in European countries. The study proposed a future research agenda and conceptual model for the entrepreneurial process in the circular economy.
