Filling space with polydisperse spheres in a non-Apollonian way

Robert Botet et al.

Summary: By using spheres with power-law radius distribution, it is possible to completely fill 3D Euclidean space with an exponent between 2.8 and 3, showing significant differences from the structure of an Apollonian packing.
