Effects of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris YRC3780 daily intake on the HPA axis response to acute psychological stress in healthy Japanese men

Noriko Matsuura et al.

Summary: Daily intake of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris strain YRC3780 was found to significantly reduce morning salivary cortisol levels and decrease salivary cortisol levels following a social stress test. Subjective sleep quality and mental health were significantly improved in the YRC3780-treated group compared to placebo.

Immune Responses to Orally Administered Recombinant Lactococcus lactis Expressing Multi-Epitope Proteins Targeting M Cells of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus

Fudong Zhang et al.

Summary: The study successfully enhanced the delivery efficiency of the multi-epitope antigen protein TB1 by coupling a M cell-targeting ligand to it. Orally administering L. lactis-TB1-Co1 in mice induced mucosal secretory IgA and IgG secretion, developed strong cell-mediated immune reactions, promoted significant T lymphocyte proliferation, and upregulated levels of key immune markers. Guinea pigs vaccinated with L. lactis-TB1-Co1 developed elevated antigen-specific immune responses, indicating its potential as a vaccine candidate against FMDV.

Summary: A modified G12A-K-ras epitope was developed as a potential vaccine against KRAS cancers, utilizing L. lactis as a delivery vehicle and enhancing antigenicity. Experimental results indicated that the 139A-TTD vaccine successfully stimulated an antigen-specific immune response, with TTD fusion successfully enhancing immune responses.
