Study Profile of the Tohoku Medical Megabank Community-Based Cohort Study

Epidemiological trends of maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy at the global, regional, and national levels: a population-based study

Summary: Global studies on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy show an increase in incidence but a decrease in age-standardized incidence rates. Deaths due to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy decreased by 30.05% in 2019 compared to 1990. The highest incidence and mortality rates were observed in the 25-29 age group, with higher rates in countries and regions with lower sociodemographic indices and human development indices.
