Four selected commercial seaweeds: biologically active compounds, antioxidant and cytotoxic properties

Sanja Vlaisavljevic et al.

Summary: The study found that Arame algae extract has the highest scavenging activity, and the antioxidant potential of all extracts is correlated with total phenol content, rather than total carotenoids content. Although biomolecules in the algae extracts showed in vitro antioxidant activity, they did not exhibit a significant effect on PC3 cells.
