Long-Term Stable, Self-Powered and Highly Sensitive Photodetectors Based on the ZnO:ZrO2 Composite Fibers (Fs)/N-Si Heterojunction

Zeynep Orhan et al.

Summary: Zinc oxide/zirconia composite fibers were deposited onto n-Si substrates to form composite fiber/silicon hybrid heterostructures. The devices showed good rectification in the dark, with the D7 device exhibiting the highest rectification ratio and self-powered mode. Detailed electrical and optical characterization of the D7 device revealed remarkable photosensitivity for visible light and stability over time. Capacitance, conductance, and impedance measurements were also performed.

Self-driven Photoelectrochemical UV-visible Photodetectors Using ZrO2@TiO2 Core-shell Nanorod Arrays Modified with Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes

Zhen Wang et al.

Summary: A self-driven photoelectrochemical photodetector using Ar-annealed ZrO2@TiO2 core-shell nanorod arrays modified with SWCNTs has been reported, showing enhanced photoelectric performance and extended spectral range. The PD based on SWCNTs/ZrO2@TNRAs structure exhibited higher responsivity and faster response time compared to the pure TNRAs-based PD, attributed to the core-shell structure suppressing recombination and SWCNTs acting as hole acceptors.
