Ultrasonic and size effects on the rheological behavior of CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy

Cheng Li et al.

Summary: This research investigates the rheological behavior and microstructure evolution of CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy (Cantor alloy) during UV-assisted deformation. It is found that Cantor alloy exhibits an unusual acoustic residual softening (ARS) phenomenon, which is related to the alleviation of severe lattice distortion effect and the increase of stacking fault energy during the UV process. Mathematical models are developed to quantitatively characterize the ultrasonic softening (US) and ARS, which can well predict their influences.

Fabrication of heterostructured CdS/g-C3N4/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite synthesized through ultrasonic-assisted method for efficient photocatalytic hydrogen production br

Rania Belakehal et al.

Summary: In this study, CdS/g-C3N4/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite was synthesized for efficient hydrogen production from water under visible light. The CdS/g-C3N4/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite exhibited the highest hydrogen production rate compared to other materials. The type II heterostructure of CdS/g-C3N4/ZnFe2O4 achieved efficient directional transfer of photocarriers and prevented carrier recombination. This study offers new alternatives for the preparation of magnetic ternary photocatalysts with increased efficiency and stability for hydrogen production applications.
