Ruyi Ding et al.

Summary: Past research has emphasized the crucial role of parents' responses to children's negative emotions (PRCNE) in adolescents' socioemotional adjustment. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between PRCNE and adolescents' suicidal ideation (SI), and to explore the mediating processes. Understanding trajectories of externalizing problems: Stability and emergence of risk factors from infancy to middle adolescence

Anne Kjeldsen et al.

Summary: The study examined the linkages between various child and family risk factors and trajectories of externalizing behavior from infancy to middle adolescence. It found that intrinsic emotional factors played a significant role in externalizing problems during childhood, while they seemed less important in cases of adolescent onset. The findings highlight the importance of a dynamic perspective on risk factors and the need for prevention and intervention efforts throughout childhood and adolescence.
