Cusp Symmetry and Coronary Ostial Eccentricity and its Impact on Coronary Access Following TAVR

Xi Wang et al.

Summary: The aim of this study was to assess the impact of cusp symmetry and coronary ostial eccentricity on coronary access following TAVR. The results showed that patients with less coronary ostial eccentricity had better consistency in the right/left cusp and coronary ostia overlap view.

Commissural Versus Coronary Optimized Alignment During Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

Alfredo Redondo et al.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the rate of noncentered coronary ostia and their risk for coronary overlap (CO) and develop an improved orientation strategy for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) devices to identify patients at risk for CO and calculate an alternative, CO-free TAVR rotation angle for those patients.

Distribution of C-arm projections in native and bioprosthetic aortic valves cusps: Implication forBASILICAprocedures

Ikki Komatsu et al.

Summary: By analyzing the alignment of aortic valve leaflets, it was found that the distribution of leaflet alignment for each cusp follows a sigmoid curve. The feasibility of certain projections in catheter laboratory procedures can be improved with adjustments in patient/table tilt angles.

Double S-Curve Versus Cusp-Overlap Technique Defining the Optimal Fluoroscopic Projection for TAVR With a Self-Expanding Device

Jeremy Ben-Shoshan et al.

Summary: The double S-curve and cusp-overlap methods provide comparable TAVR projections, mostly in the RAO and CAU positions. TAVR using the double S-curve model is associated with high device success and low complication rates.

Feasibility of Coronary Access in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome and Previous TAVR

Won-Keun Kim et al.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of CA and PCI in acute settings among patients who have undergone TAVR. The study found that CA or PCI after TAVR in acute settings is usually successful, but selective coronary engagement may be more challenging in the presence of long SFPs. Among patients requiring PCI, prior diabetes, cardiogenic shock, and failed PCI were predictors of early mortality.

Patient-Specific Implantation Technique to Obtain Neo-Commissural Alignment With Self-Expanding Transcatheter Aortic Valves

Gintautas Bieliauskas et al.

Summary: This study investigates a patient-specific implantation technique during TAVR to achieve safe and reproducible neo-commissural alignment of self-expanding transcatheter heart valves. The results suggest that this technique is feasible and safe in achieving optimal commissural alignment during TAVR procedures.
