Evaluation of the Effect of Ethyl Acrylate- Methyl Methacrylate Copolymer in Racecadotril Dispersible Tablet

Onur Pinarbasli et al.

Summary: This study developed a pharmaceutical racecadotril dispersible tablet using Eudragit (R) NE 30D to mask the unpleasant taste. The optimal ratio between racecadotril and Eudragit (R) NE 30D for taste masking was found to be over 1% but not exceeding 10%. The results demonstrated that the developed formulation can improve patient compliance.

Oral drug delivery strategies for development of poorly water soluble drugs in paediatric patient population

Smita Salunke et al.

Summary: Selecting the appropriate formulation and solubility-enabling technology is crucial for developing formulations for paediatric patients. However, there is a lack of literature in this area, and the need for flexible dosing and adaptations for paediatric subjects pose challenges. An efficient and systematic approach is required to select the best drug delivery system that considers the drug's properties and patient requirements.

Granules of finasteride and cyclodextrin obtained by hot-melt extrusion to target the hair follicles

Stephania G. B. Lima et al.

Summary: The study aimed to develop topical granules of finasteride with follicular targeting potential. Fin inclusion complexes produced by nanospray-drying and rotary evaporation methods provided slow drug release and limited skin permeation, with nanospray-drying generating almost completely amorphous systems. Combining amorphous cyclodextrin complexes with a polymeric matrix by hot-melt extrusion achieved desirable follicular targeting.
