miR-30a-5p inhibits the proliferation and collagen formation of cardiac fibroblasts in diabetic cardiomyopathy

Xiao-xu Yang et al.

Summary: This study found that miR-30a-5p plays an inhibitory role in cardiac fibrosis in diabetic cardiomyopathy by reducing the expression of Smad2. This finding provides new insights for the research and treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy.

MicroRNA-30a-5p silencing polarizes macrophages toward M2 phenotype to alleviate cardiac injury following viral myocarditis by targeting SOCS1

Yan Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, it was discovered that inhibition of miR-30a-5p may improve cardiac injury following viral myocarditis by promoting M2 polarization of macrophages via SOCS1 upregulation. The anti-inflammatory mechanisms of miR-30a-5p inhibition could potentially lead to the development of new therapeutic strategies for viral myocarditis.

MiR-30a-5p ameliorates LPS-induced inflammatory injury in human A549 cells and mice via targeting RUNX2

Pibao Li et al.

Summary: In this study, miR-30a-5p was found to ameliorate LPS-induced inflammatory injury in A549 cells and mice by targeting RUNX2 and related signaling pathways, thereby influencing the progression of ARDS.

MiRNA-29c-3p Promotes Intestinal Inflammation via Targeting Leukemia Inhibitory Factor in Ulcerative Colitis

Jian Guo et al.

Summary: The study found that miR-29c-3p was significantly downregulated in UC patients and experimental colitis mice, while LIF was upregulated. By suppressing LIF, miR-29c-3p promotes gut inflammation and modulates the pathogenesis of UC.

A regulatory loop among CD276, miR-29c-3p, and Myc exists in cancer cells against natural killer cell cytotoxicity

Chin-Cheng Lee et al.

Summary: Through analysis, CD276 was identified as a risk gene in several cancers, showing a positive correlation with NK cell infiltration. Overexpression of miR-29c-3p restored CD276-reduced NK cell cytotoxicity. The negative regulatory loop involving CD276, Myc, and miR-29c-3p plays a significant role in influencing cancer cells against NK cell cytotoxicity.

MicroRNA miR-29c regulates RAG1 expression and modulates V(D)J recombination during B cell development

Rupa Kumari et al.

Summary: The study showed that miR-29c regulates RAG1 in a B cell stage-specific manner, modulation of miR-29c levels affects V(D)J recombination efficiency in pre-B cells, and a negative correlation between miR-29c and RAG1 levels is observed in different developmental stages.

Fer exacerbates renal fibrosis and can be targeted by miR-29c-3p

Chen-Min Sun et al.

Summary: The study revealed that dysregulation of miR-29c-3p and Fer plays a crucial role in RF, suggesting that inhibiting Fer could be a potential treatment for RF.

Clinical value and role of microRNA-29c-3p in sepsis-induced inflammation and cardiac dysfunction

Bingyu Zhang et al.

Summary: This study found that miR-29c-3p is upregulated in sepsis patients and can distinguish sepsis patients from healthy controls. In a rat sepsis model, cardiac dysfunction and inflammation were observed, but these effects were reversed by injecting miR-29c-3p antagomir. Logistic regression analysis indicated that miR-29c-3p is an independent factor in the occurrence of cardiac dysfunction in sepsis patients.
