The optimum double diffusive natural convection heat transfer in H-Shaped cavity with a baffle inside and a corrugated wall

Soroush Eshaghi et al.

Summary: The study investigates the double diffusive natural convection of a hybrid Cu-Al2O3-water nanoliquid inside an H-shaped cavity with a baffle at the top wall. It examines the effects of Rayleigh number, Lewis number, and Buoyancy ratio on Nusselt, Sherwood numbers, and entropy generation, as well as the impact of baffle inclination angle and aspect ratio of the corrugated bottom rib on heat transfer performance. The results suggest that the geometry with a baffle angle of -60 degrees and no corrugation has the best Nu(avg), while the geometry with a baffle angle of +60 degrees and no corrugation has the best Sh(avg).

Thermal and entropy analyses on buoyancy-driven flow of nanofluid inside a porous enclosure with two square cylinders: Finite element method

A. Sattar Dogonchi et al.

Summary: This article investigates the heat transfer, entropy generation, and fluid flow behavior inside a porous enclosure using a numerical method called FEM for a square cylinder filled with magnetic nanoliquid. The study found that entropy generation increases with rising Hartmann number and Rayleigh number, leading to velocity gradient overshooting within the enclosure. Results show different heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics for varying parameters combinations.

Significance of quadratic thermal radiation and quadratic convection on boundary layer two-phase flow of a dusty nanoliquid past a vertical plate

B. Mahanthesh et al.

Summary: Numerical study of boundary layer two-phase flow of particulate Al2O3-H2O nanoliquid over a vertical flat plate was conducted considering quadratic thermal convection and thermal radiation. Different models were used to describe the flow of dusty nanoliquids, with nonlinear thermal radiation showing the best heat transfer enhancement, followed by quadratic thermal radiation and linear thermal radiation. Furthermore, the presence of Al2O3 nanoparticles improved heat transport, while an increase in dust particles mass fraction reduced it.
