Performance of energy storage unit equipped with vase-shaped fins including nanoparticle enhanced paraffin

M. Sheikholeslami et al.

Summary: In current work, it has been suggested to invent new fins with vase-shaped to incorporate in the storage enclosure in order to decrease energy consumption. The combination of heat storage with the shape of a triplex tube and a parabolic solar unit enhances efficiency. The properties of paraffin were improved by dispersing SiO2 nanoparticles. Different proposed models were analyzed using the finite volume method to determine the best arrangement for maximum efficiency and minimum charging time.

Stabilizing enzymes by immobilization on bacterial spores: A review of literature

Chika Jude Ugwuodo et al.

Summary: Enzyme immobilization on spores offers a promising approach to enhance enzyme stability and activity, especially for food-grade enzymes or therapeutic enzymes, due to the spores' resistance to environmental stress and reactive surface groups. The use of spores as carriers can improve enzyme performance through interactions such as electrostatic forces, hydrophobic interactions, and covalent bonding.
