Impact of Soret and Dufour on MHD Casson fluid flow past a stretching surface with convective-diffusive conditions

A. C. Venkata Ramudu et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the impact of magnetohydrodynamic Casson fluid flow across a convective surface with cross diffusion, chemical reaction, and non-linear radiative heat. By converting the governing flow equations into non-dimensional form, the research found that an increase in Sorret number leads to a decrease in temperature and an increase in concentration, while the Dufour number has a negative impact. Additionally, an intensification of the non-linear radiative parameter results in a decrement in Nusselt number and an enhancement in Sherwood number.

Chemical Reactive and Viscous Dissipative Flow of Magneto Nanofluid via Natural Convection by Employing Galerkin Finite Element Technique

Shankar Goud Bejawada et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the effects of chemical reactions on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) free convective unsteady flow over an inclined plate in a porous material with the presence of viscous dissipation. The nondimensional governing equations, which are time-dependent, coupled, and nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), are solved using the efficient finite element method (FEM). By employing the Galerkin finite element approach, the computational relationships between velocity, energy, and concentration are obtained. The impact of different flow parameters such as the angle of inclination, permeability parameter, magnetic parameter, buoyancy ratio parameter, Schmidt number, Eckert number, Prandtl number, and chemical factor on the velocity, concentration, and temperature fields are analyzed in detail with the aid of diagrams.

MHD stagnation-point flow of nanofluid due to a shrinking sheet with melting, viscous dissipation and Joule heating effects
