Boron regulated dual emission in B, N doped graphene quantum dots

Esranur Budak et al.

Summary: Graphene quantum dots are considered promising candidates for LED and solar cell studies due to their low toxicity, low production cost, and high luminescence capacity. However, controlling the optical properties of graphene quantum dots is a challenge that can be partially addressed through heteroatom doping. In this study, dual emissive boron and nitrogen doped graphene quantum dots were synthesized, showing potential for applications in white - LED and solar cells. The dual emission properties of the quantum dots were controlled by adjusting the amount of boron content in the structure.

Single, dual and multi-emission carbon dots based optosensing for food safety

Xuecheng Zhu et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the application of multi-fluorescent emission centers of carbon dots in food safety detection, finding that combining dual and multi-fluorescent emission centers with ratiometric fluorescence and multi-dimensional analysis can improve the sensitivity and accuracy of detection methods. Compared with functionalizing the surface of carbon dots, using them directly as fluorescent materials combined with chemometric analyses is more effective for detecting substances in food matrices.

Study on the Origin of Fluorescence by Using Dual-Emission Carbon Dots

Jianliang Bai et al.

Summary: Dual-emission N-doped carbon dots were synthesized through a solvothermal reaction and the second emission band of N-CDs can be tuned by changing the polarity of the solvent, showing obvious solvent dependence. The findings greatly improve our understanding of the fluorescence origin of CDs and help guide future preparations of novel nanomaterials.
